The Government Support Department, in coordination with the Committee for the Management of Emergency, Crises and Disasters resulting from the Corona pandemic in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, announced the adoption of the requirement to obtain the vaccine and the supporting dose, for the concerned groups, as decided by the competent health authorities, to enter the workplaces for all employees of government agencies and companies, as of Monday, January 10, 2022.

The decision applies to all government agencies and companies in the emirate, with the exception of those who have an approved medical excuse. This update aims to strengthen preventive and precautionary measures in government agencies and companies, and to preserve public health.

The previously approved procedures will continue to be implemented, including showing a negative result for a nasal swab examination (PCR) every 7 days for all employees, workers, service contract workers and outsourcing. For visitors, dealers and temporary workers, a negative result must be presented, not more than 48 hours after receiving it.
