Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, President of the Emirates Astronomy Society, announced that the location of the sunset at the moment of its setting will coincide with the direction of the qiblah towards the Kaaba in Makkah Al-Mukarramah between February 18 and 25, in all regions in the UAE, as well as between 16 to 23 October, and thus it is possible to determine the direction of The Qibla is accurate by monitoring the direction of sunset on those days.

Al-Jarwan attributed this situation to the change in the location of the sunrise and sunset during the year, so that at sunrise and sunset it tends to the north in summer in the arc of the longest day, and tends towards the south in winter in the arc of the shortest day.
