Abu Dhabi Police called on drivers and road users to cooperate in the implementation of traffic law and regulations and regulations to reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents.

Abu Dhabi Police revealed that it was able to reduce the number of traffic accident deaths by 15%, from the beginning of the year until this November, serious injuries by 26%, and accidents in general by 13%, compared to the same period last year.

The Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate in Abu Dhabi Police, Brigadier Salem Abdullah bin Barak Al Dhaheri, said that all specialized traffic studies have proven that the human factor is the cause of 90% of traffic accidents on the roads, noting that the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has succeeded in achieving positive results in the accident mortality index during In the past 10 years, fewer than 150 deaths were recorded this year, compared to 409 deaths in 2009.

He pointed out that the most important five dangerous causes of traffic accidents that result in deaths on the road are busyness on the road, speed without taking into account road conditions, sudden deviation, not leaving a safety distance, and lack of appreciation of road users, as well as other reasons.

He stressed the interest of the Abu Dhabi Police General Command to develop the traffic safety system, in coordination with partners, to reach the best response rates, provide logistical support to the injured, and provide integrated services for intervention, whether through ambulance or providing treatment and rescue services, and transferring them to hospitals to receive the necessary treatment.

He urged drivers to abide by the laws of traffic, traffic, safety and safe driving on the roads, which contributes to reducing death rates and severe injuries, noting that there is a great responsibility on the driver of the vehicle to avoid accidents, and the resulting human losses.
