An important warning from the UAE Ministry of Interior to all citizens and expatriates in the country

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, and the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Command of Civil Defense, have warned citizens and residents of the country of the following:

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority called, within its guide to dealing with emergency situations, to avoid behavior during heavy rains, thunderstorms and floods, the most important of which is to avoid standing under tall and single trees, electricity and communication poles, and not to use mobile phones except when absolutely necessary, especially during the occurrence of Thunderstorms, and that the use of the landline phone is for emergency if you are in an open place, and note that the use of mobile or wireless phones is safe indoors and should not be used outside.

And she cautioned to avoid trying to walk near beaches or flowing water, dams and ponds, and not to try to restore electricity in the event of a power outage and to contact the concerned authorities to ask for help, and not to leave the house until after making sure the situation has calmed down, following up on weather forecasts through local media, trying to find a safe place, and staying Away from electric power lines when it rains, and away from flowing water and valley streams, and prepare appropriate means and equipment for extinguishing, because lightning strikes may set fires, implement instructions and instructions, and ensure the safety of family members. Precautionary measures must be taken, such as observing weather changes, listening to the weather forecast on the radio, taking care and caution during sudden weather changes that occur on the road, reducing speed, not passing other vehicles and turning on the lights, and not using the car to move in flooded areas, because Flowing water can lose control of the vehicle, leave sufficient distance between vehicles, use warning signals only to warn, use front and rear windshield wipers to clarify vision, and stop the vehicle off the road in case there is a need to stop it permanently.

The Ministry of the Interior and the National Emergency Management Authority have also warned against driving on flooded roads, which may lead to vehicle slips and lack of control, as well as not to cross flowing water that may be higher than the height of the knees during heavy rain.
