Within the framework of the General Directorate of Traffic's implementation of traffic regulations and laws and in continuation of its sincere efforts to enhance traffic safety for all road users, the Department managed to seize 1,400 motorcycles in violation of traffic regulations and rules during the past three months.

The department explained that the seized violations consisted of seizing bicycles dedicated to delivering restaurant orders whose drivers did not abide by the prescribed speed of the road and bypassing the traffic light, passing through pedestrian lines and walking in the opposite direction, in addition to seizing unregistered motorcycles and bicycles that are reviewed on the public road and committing erroneous practices. In residential neighborhoods, and failure to comply with safety requirements, which puts their lives and the lives of others at risk and disturbs the residents in the area.
