The government delegation presented new amendments at the joint meeting today with the legislative authority in order to reach final consensus with the deputies regarding the new retirement law.

The government delegation presented new amendments at the joint meeting today with the legislative authority in order to reach final consensus with the deputies regarding the new retirement law.

Parliamentary sources said that the new offer stipulates that early retirement should not be abolished before the age of 55 years.
The amendments also require passing the annual increase to retirees for a period of two years and not to exceed 30 dinars for each year.
The government amendments also provide for the abolition of a 6% deduction from the retirement pension for each year of retirement before the age of 60 years.
