The Minister of Health, Faeqa Al-Saleh, issued a decision regarding quarantine and the method of implementing it for people infected with the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19),

The Minister of Health, Faeqa Al-Saleh, issued a decision regarding quarantine and the method of implementing it for people infected with the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19), according to which infected people are obligated to adhere to sanitary isolation procedures to prevent the spread of the virus for a period of 7 days, and the period starts from the date of taking the sample that turned out to be positive.


According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, specialists who follow up on the health status may modify the period of health isolation by increasing or decreasing, whenever necessary, for people infected with the virus.


The decision stated that “without prejudice to the health requirements contained in Chapter Three of Resolution No. (13) of 2020 regarding measures for prevention, isolation and treatment of communicable diseases, people infected with the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19) are obligated to implement sanitary isolation in the places determined by the Ministry of Health. And as it sees fit.”
