The National Medical Team to Combat Corona Virus announced that after the presentation and taking the approval of the Coordinating Committee, it was approved to make the booster dose of the anti-Coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccination available for the age group of 18 years and over, who have completed 6 months of taking the second dose of the vaccine (Covid-19). Pfizer-Biontech) or (Coveshield - AstraZenica) or (Sputnik) vaccination, so that this age group can take the (Pfizer-Biontech) vaccination, or take the same type of vaccination for the first and second dose as a booster dose.

The national medical team also indicated that the time period for taking the booster dose was reduced for the age group from 18 to 39 years who received the Sinopharm vaccination to 3 months from taking the second dose of the vaccination instead of 6 months.
