The Permanent Quality Committee for Bahrainization of Jobs in the Public and Private Sectors in the House of Representatives

The Permanent Quality Committee for Bahrainization of Jobs in the Public and Private Sectors in the House of Representatives held its meeting yesterday headed by Representative Ibrahim Al-Nafi’i, and in the presence of the members of the Committee.

The committee said - in a press statement - that it agreed to the committee's proposal regarding the Saudization of jobs that require specializations "law, media, sociology, Sharia, and dentists" for Bahraini university graduates only, provided that the nationalization is for a period of two years. Views from: The Ministry of Information Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and the Civil Service Authority.

During the meeting, the committee discussed the proposal with a desire to set time plans for Bahrainization of jobs in ministries and government companies in which the government owns more than 50%. The views of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Ministry of Health, Civil Service Authority, Gulf Air were reviewed. The Labor Fund “Tamkeen”, the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), the labor union of Alba, the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions, and the committee decided to request meetings with a number of concerned parties.
