Representatives submitted an urgent parliamentary proposal calling on the government to continue to work to postpone bank installments on individuals and companies, and the proposal is scheduled to be presented to a vote in today’s parliament session.
Representatives Ibrahim Al-Nafi'i, Issa Al-Qadi, Ammar Qambar, Muhammad Buhamoud, and Ahmed Al-Ansari participated in signing the proposal.
For his part, one of the most prominent proponents of the proposal, Representative Ibrahim Al-Nafie’i, said that the objectives of the proposal come in line with the general health conditions that the Kingdom of Bahrain is going through, and what the whole world is going through in terms of the continuation of the emerging Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic and its continued spread, explaining that it is the same situation that It called for the postponement of installments previously, as it is a health condition that is still ongoing, while the period of postponing the last installments will end at the end of this year, despite the continuation of the pandemic.
He added, "In terms of helping individuals and companies and providing the necessary financial support to confront this pandemic and its economic effects in particular, we hope that the government will postpone the monthly installments for both individuals and companies."
