His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect him, issued Decree No. (99) for the year 2021 to abolish the National Oil and Gas Authority

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect him, issued Decree No. (99) for the year 2021 to abolish the National Oil and Gas Authority, which stated:

Subject one
The National Oil and Gas Authority shall be abolished.

second subject
The Ministry of Oil undertakes all the functions entrusted to the National Oil and Gas Authority as stipulated in the laws, regulations, decisions and regulations in force in the Kingdom.

Third subject
All the appropriations listed for the National Oil and Gas Authority in the state’s general budget and all its rights and obligations shall be transferred to the Ministry of Oil, and all employees of the National Oil and Gas Authority shall be transferred to it with the same rights and job benefits in accordance with the organization of the Ministry.

Fourth subject
Any text that contradicts the provisions of this decree shall be repealed.

Fifth subject
The Prime Minister and the Ministers - each within his jurisdiction - shall implement the provisions of this Decree, which shall come into force from the date of its issuance, and be published in the Official Gazette.
