The deputies were divided between supporters and opponents of the law, as a number of deputies believed that the law might cause harm to working women, which would negatively affect the formation of the family, stressing that there should be articles more guaranteeing women's rights and enhancing their gains.

For his part, Minister of Labor and Social Development Jamil Humaidan affirmed that the approved changes will enhance Bahrain’s global position and will improve Bahrain’s rank in the international indicators dimension, ensuring that women will not be affected by these changes, as they are changes in some formal laws that will not change the status of women. working on the ground, stressing that the Kingdom is one of the countries that have enacted many laws that support women’s rights and guarantee their right to motherhood and family education.
