In the context of implementing the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to promote the concepts of environmental education in school curricula, His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education, inaugurated the Garden of Trees and Plants mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. Which was implemented by the carpentry, welding, sanitary works and gardens departments at Sheikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa Industrial Secondary School for Boys, where he toured the garden sections that contain electronic panels and a QR code (in front of its trees, showing the names of its fruits and the verse contained in it and its usefulness).
On this occasion, the Minister praised this distinguished educational project that enhances digital empowerment, and contributes to introducing young people to the types of trees and plants mentioned in the Holy Qur’an and their importance, through the information it provides through the electronic panels spread in the garden, stressing the ministry’s keenness to promote concepts related to the environment in Curricula at all educational levels, focusing on a number of topics related to wildlife in the Kingdom of Bahrain, environmental balance, climate change, conservation of marine wealth and natural resources, food security, alternative energy benefits, green school, recycling, and other environmental topics ,With the aim of introducing students to the importance of preserving the environment, providing them with skills to deal with environmental challenges, and encouraging them to participate in classroom and extracurricular activities aimed at developing their environmental awareness, in continuation of its efforts at the level of curricula and activities implemented by schools.
