The head of the Trafficking in Persons Prosecution stated that the Public Prosecution had completed its investigations into the incident of trafficking in a foreign girl for the purpose of abusing her in prostitution and had ordered the referral of the accused to criminal trial, and set a session on February 14, 2022 AD for consideration.

The details of the incident are due to the receipt of confidential information to the police that there is a woman being detained and forced to work in prostitution, so they went to the place of the incident and it was found that the victim was in a state of fear, To work as a waitress in a restaurant, but when she came, she was forced into forced prostitution; In order to pay her debts and then threaten her, attack her body integrity, seize her freedom and passport, the second accused helped her in these actions, as he transferred the victim to the shelters, and he is the one who receives the entire proceeds of prostitution.

The Public Prosecution began investigation procedures as soon as the report was received, as it listened to the victim’s statements, provided the necessary protection for her, and deposited her in the shelter of the National Committee for Combating Trafficking in Persons. The investigators then ordered to refer the accused to the competent criminal court.
