A number of deputies submitted a proposal as a matter of urgency calling on the relevant government agencies to tighten control over the prices of food commodities and services, in order to ensure that they do not rise in light of the circumstances the world is witnessing these days.
The proposal was submitted by Representatives Ibrahim Al-Nafi'i, Zainab Abdel-Amir, Khaled Buanaq, Muhammad Buhamoud, and Youssef Al-Thawadi.

One of the most prominent proponents of the proposal, Representative Ibrahim Al-Nafie’i, confirmed that the proposal came in its urgent capacity to receive many complaints from citizens about the high prices of goods and services, especially basic food commodities, which a large segment of citizens accept these days from a noticeable rise.
Al-Nafaei indicated that this proposal comes to ensure that some do not take advantage of the conditions that the world is going through as a result of the war and the approaching month of Ramadan to raise prices unjustifiably, which harms consumers, which requires the competent authorities to take strict control measures to ensure that prices do not rise
