His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect him, ratified and issued Law No. (29) of 2021 amending Item (D) of Article (23) of the Law on Electronic Communications and Transactions issued by Decree-Law No. (45) of 2018, came in it:

Article One: The text of Clause (D) of Article (23) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Law issued by Decree-Law No. (54) of 2018 shall be replaced by the following text:
“D- With respect to an unaccredited trust service provider, the person who has suffered damage has the burden of proving that the damage has been caused by the will or negligence of the service provider.”

Article Two: The Prime Minister and the ministers - each within his jurisdiction - shall implement the provisions of this law, and it shall come into force from the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
