And in implementation of the agenda approved by the Council of Ministers regarding determining official holidays in the government sector, and granting the private sector similar official holidays, with the aim of enhancing communication and balance between them, and supporting the national economy in its various sectors, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that Saturday, October 8, will be a holiday. Paid wages for all workers in private sector establishments, institutions and companies in the country, in celebration of the Prophet’s birthday.
Official holidays for government and private employees :
According to the official holidays agenda of the state, employees of government and private agencies and students of schools and universities will have three holidays to take before the end of this year 2022, with a total of 4 days. Next November, it is carried over to December 1 (one day), and finally the National Day holiday on December 2-3 (two days).
Previous official holidays in the public and private sectors :
During the past nine months, employees of the public and private sectors received 4 official holidays with a total of 10 days, which began with the New Year's Day (one day), then Eid al-Fitr (four days), the Waqf of Arafa and Eid al-Adha (four days), as well as the Hijri New Year (one day).
