Lulu International Group announced the launch of discounts on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, including 15,000 items, with discount rates ranging from 30 to 50%.

Nanda Kumar, Director of Corporate Communication at Lulu International Group, said during a press conference yesterday that the discounts that the group started offering in its branches include basic and non-essential food commodities, in addition to consumer goods that are in high demand during the month of Ramadan, such as electrical and household appliances, phones, televisions, clothes and gifts, stressing that the discounts.

He added that the group also started offering the Ramadan basket at two prices: the first is 99 dirhams and the second 149 dirhams, pointing out that the basket includes a number of basic commodities.

Kumar stressed that the month of Ramadan will not witness any shortage of any goods, pointing out that during the past two months it has been able to form a strong commodity inventory in preparation for Ramadan.

He also stressed that the month of Ramadan will not witness an increase in the price of any commodity, especially in light of the available stock of goods, pointing out that Ramadan usually sees a "freeze" of price levels in order to alleviate consumers.

Kumar said that the group is keen, in addition to providing goods and the existence of large discounts, to ensure the safety of consumers, and the absence of congestion or any gatherings in shopping operations, despite the high demand and the increase in purchases in Ramadan, compared to the rest of the months of the year, stressing the application of all precautionary measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

He referred to Lulu's agreement with the Emirati "Achieving a Wish" group to open the door for donation of at least two dirhams when buying from Lulu branches, which are allocated to help fulfil the wishes of children suffering from difficult medical conditions.
