The Maritime Security Patrols at the Dubai Ports Police Station managed to rescue a Gulf family whose boat broke down

The Maritime Security Patrols at the Dubai Ports Police Station managed to rescue a Gulf family whose boat broke down due to a technical malfunction at sea opposite Palm Jumeirah.

The quick response to the family's report helped prevent the boat from drifting and hitting the breaker, due to strong sea currents and high waves.

Colonel Dr. Hassan Suhail Al Suwaidi, Director of the Ports Police Station, said that Dubai Police received a report from the Command and Control Center Department from the head of the family, stating that his boat had broken down at sea, accompanied by his wife and their three children, and immediately dispatched the nearest patrol to the scene of the event. The maritime security patrols immediately went to rescue the family and provided them with life jackets, then transferred them to the maritime security boat to reach safety, and towed the malfunctioning boat and delivered it to the port.

Colonel Dr. Al Suwaidi urged boat owners to ensure the safety of their boats by inspecting the various electronic devices and equipment on board, and checking the validity and safety of their entire body on a regular basis.

He called for downloading the “Sail Safely” service on the Dubai Police application for cruises of all kinds, Which enables sea-goers to record their itinerary and their expected locations during each trip, while providing an easy mechanism for calling or calling for distress.
