The Roads and Transport Authority inaugurated today a new bridge linking Al-Manama and Al-Midan Streets, crossing the top of the Dubai-Al-Ain road, with the cancellation of the previous roundabout, and the modification of the ends of the ramps of the bridges on Al-Midan Street. The total length of the bridges is 328 meters, with a capacity of four lanes in each direction, while the length The ramps of the bridges are 400 meters, and the bridge's carrying capacity is estimated at 16,000 vehicles per hour in both directions.
His Excellency Mattar Muhammad Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, said: The new bridge linking the intersection of Manama Street with Al Maidan Street is part of the Dubai-Al Ain Road development project, which is currently being implemented by the authority, and includes the development of six main intersections, and the expansion of the road from 3 Routes to 6 lanes in each direction, with a length of 17 km, starting from the intersection of Dubai - Al Ain Road with Emirates Road to the intersection of Bu Kadra with Ras Al Khor Street.
