The Fuel Price Follow-up Committee approved a reduction in gasoline and diesel prices during January 2022 by between 12 and 13 fils in gasoline and 21 fils in diesel per liter compared to December 2021 prices.
The fuel distribution companies announced the new prices, with the implementation starting from next Saturday, January 1, 2022, as the new price included a value-added tax of 5%.
The price of a liter of “98” super gasoline decreased by 12 fils from 2.77 dirhams in December 2021 to 2.65 dirhams in January 2022, and the price of a liter of “95” gasoline decreased by 13 fils from 2.66 dirhams in December to 2.53 dirhams in January. A liter of E-Plus "91" gasoline increased by 12 fils from 2.58 dirhams in December to 2.46 in January 2022.
The price of a liter of diesel decreased by 21 fils per liter from 2.77 dirhams to 2.56 dirhams.
