The Emirates Digital Government confirmed that foreigners residing in any of the other Gulf Cooperation Council countries must obtain an electronic visa to enter the UAE

The Emirates Digital Government confirmed that foreigners residing in any of the other Gulf Cooperation Council countries must obtain an electronic visa to enter the UAE, before their travel, noting that the visa allows them to stay in the country for 30 days from the date of entry, with the ability to extend it once for a period of 30 days.

She explained that obtaining an electronic visa is a prerequisite for entering the UAE, and residents of any of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries can apply online for an entry permit (electronic visa) to Dubai through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security.

It specified conditions for obtaining the visa, as it is sent to the email registered in the application after the completion of its processing, in the event of approval, and no visit visa application will be approved for any family member or assistance groups for residents or companions of GCC citizens without the sponsor traveling with them.

The validity period of the entry permit for a GCC resident is 30 days from the date of issuance, and the period of stay in the country is 30 days from the date of entry, which can be extended once for a period of 30 days.

As for the validity of the entry permit for the companions of citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, it is 60 days from the date of issuance, and the period of stay in the country is 60 days from the date of entry, which can be extended once for a period of 60 days.
