Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced the introduction of a virtual work residence permit, allowing any employee anywhere in the world to reside in the UAE to practice his work.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, in posts on Twitter: "Today, I chaired a cabinet meeting at Al Watan Palace... during which we decided to create a virtual work residence permit... whereby any employee anywhere in the world can reside in the UAE to practice his work via He was expelled even if his company was not present in the country through this type of residence.”
He added, "With today's remote work technologies, we provide an opportunity for everyone to live in the most beautiful and safest cities in the world. In addition, we decided today to adopt multi-entry tourist visas for all nationalities."
He pointed out that "the UAE is a global economic capital... and all our decisions will be based on this vision."
He added, "Today, we approved legislative amendments and reforms regarding conciliation and mediation centers in civil and commercial disputes, and on mediation for settling these disputes and the use of digital technologies in judicial procedures and transactions."
He pointed out that "the judiciary and legislation are one of the most important sectors that must keep pace with the rapid technological changes."
