The Minister of Works reviews the development projects in the fifth of the capital

His Excellency Engineer Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, received Member of Parliament Ahmed Al-Salloum, and Mrs. Kholoud Rashid Al-Qattan, Member of the Capital Municipality Council, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Works Affairs, Eng. Ahmed Al-Khayyat, and the Acting Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs, Eng. Asim Abdullatif The Director General of the Capital Municipality, Eng. Muhammad Al-Sahli, and the Director of the Planning and Municipal Councils Affairs Department, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Shaibani.

His Excellency stressed the ministry's keenness to implement the directives of the Council of Ministers headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to work to provide the best services to citizens and residents.

The Minister reviewed the existing projects in the department, including the road development project in Zinj in Complex 360, through the rehabilitation of district roads, the establishment of a rainwater drainage network, the establishment of car parks, and the improvement of lighting in order to improve services provided to citizens and residents. Recently, bids for the development of Street 61 and Road 6217 in Bilad Al-Qadeem were opened, and bids are currently being evaluated to complete the remaining necessary procedures.

During the meeting, a number of issues related to the development of infrastructure in the fifth district in the Capital Governorate and related to the development and maintenance of main streets and internal roads and paving dirt roads in the district, including the expansion of King Abdulaziz Street adjacent to the Princess Al-Jawhara Medical Center, where His Excellency the Minister explained that the project was approved It will be included for implementation within the government’s work program, and reference was also made to the paving of the road leading to Cordoba School behind the Old Country Health Center, while other requests submitted by the representative will be studied and implemented according to the available possibilities.

The problem of stray dogs in the region was also discussed, as this topic was discussed, and the proposal to set up awareness and guidance panels for the public to prevent the placement of foods that cause dogs to breed, and the green belt project in the region was also discussed.

In turn, MP Ahmed Al-Salloum praised the efforts of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning in implementing and developing infrastructure projects in the Kingdom, and providing high-quality municipal services.
