The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, in coordination with its main partners, announced the protocol for the return of the activity of Iftar tents, which will enter into force with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan for 2022.
This comes in line with the state's strategy to maintain the health and safety of society in light of the continuation of various activities and in support of national efforts to achieve sustainable recovery and the return of a new normal life to the state.
The protocol stipulates the importance of obtaining prior permits to set up tents for fasting, which are issued by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, bearing in mind that the local committees and teams for emergency, crisis and disaster management in each emirate have the authority to approve the setting up of these tents and allocate the allowed numbers for one tent, and specify places for Iftar tents in coordination with the Red Crescent.
The protocol also included the obligatory design of the tents in the form of a canopy that is open from all sides or air-conditioned in line with the rise in temperatures, provided that the tent carries all the required safety and protection systems.
