The UAE has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attempts of the terrorist Houthi militia to target Abha International Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through a booby-trapped drone, which was intercepted by the coalition forces.

The UAE considered - in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation - that targeting the airport is a dangerous escalation and a cowardly act that threatens the security, safety and lives of civilians and travelers, and is a war crime that requires taking all necessary measures to protect civilian objects from the threats of the Houthis.

The Ministry renewed the UAE's full solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of these terrorist attacks, standing with it against every threat to its security and stability, and supporting it in all measures it takes to preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.
