The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Port Security stated that all citizens and residents who were unable to issue or renew identity cards for themselves or their dependents on the specified date or during the specified period, can apply for exemption from delay fines, provided that one of eight conditions apply to them for exemption.

She indicated that the application can be submitted through the typing offices, the electronic form on the authority's website, or by visiting one of the authority's service centers to submit the application, and complete the exemption procedures if the application is approved, adding that the customer is contacted within 48 hours from the date of submission Application and supporting documents.

She stated that eight cases are exempted from the fine, namely: the individual who left the country and spent more than three months outside the country, or the resident whose residence expired while he was outside the country, and the validity period of his identity card expired after the date of departure, provided that this is proven by the date of exit proven in a document dining table.

The same applies to the individual whose identity card has expired after his deportation by order, administrative decision, or court ruling, or whose passport has been confiscated due to lawsuits or due to passport renewal, provided that this is proven by a letter or receipt issued by the competent authority that expelled him or detained him in pending cases or by a receipt renewing passport.

An individual with a contagious disease, or a clinically incapacitated person, or a complete or partial disability, provided that this is proven by a medical certificate issued by the competent authorities in the country, and the category of diplomatic missions and consuls in embassies and consulates, and the like, inside the country.

And the category of senior citizens (70 years and over) who are unable to reach customer service centers in the emirates of the country, provided that this is proven by the family book, passport or any other document approved in the country, stating the age of the customer.

And the category of those subject to social security and their guarantors, provided that their condition is proven by an official certificate issued by the Ministry of Community Development in the state or the competent authorities, and the individual who has not been issued an identity card for the period before obtaining the citizenship of the state, and before obtaining the family book, in addition to the delay resulting from an error My attachment or for a reason related to the Authority’s systems or one of its employees or one of the typing offices assigned by the Authority, and this error has resulted in a delay in the registration or renewal of the identity card.

The authority indicated that the application is submitted at the typing office, or through the electronic form on the authority’s website, and extracting the application number for a registration form without printing the application, and communicating with one of the authority’s service centers to include the number in the system in order to be exempted from the fine, if approved. one of the eight conditions.
