The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the temporary closure of Al Shindagha Tunnel in the direction from Deira to Bur Dubai for a period of two months

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the temporary closure of Al Shindagha Tunnel in the direction from Deira to Bur Dubai for a period of two months, coinciding with the opening of the (Infinity) Bridge on Sunday, January 16, for traffic, in order to complete the work of linking the (Infinity) Bridge and the new bridges with Al Shindagha Tunnel. Traffic will be available to the public from Deira to Bur Dubai and vice versa on the (Infinity) Bridge, which has a capacity of 24,000 vehicles per hour in both directions.

The authority has developed an integrated plan to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, which includes diverting traffic from the surface level at the intersections of Abu Bakr Al Siddiq, the slope of the Palm Deira Islands, Omar Bin Al Khattab Intersection, Al Musalla Intersection and Corniche Street to the entrance to the (Infinity) Bridge, in the direction of Bur Dubai.
