The Ministry of Community Development warned parents of the need to pay attention to the emergence of a number of symptoms in children in the phase of transition from the crisis stage to the stage of recovery and return to normal life, stressing that its continuation for a period of more than a week requires the immediate assistance of a specialist, and it also set out terms for a safe program that must be followed To ensure the transition to the stage of recovery in a proper manner.

The Ministry held a virtual interactive workshop with a number of parents, attended by representatives of the media, in which Psychologist Dr. Rawhi Obeidat talked about a set of symptoms that parents should pay attention to if they appear and persist for more than a week, dividing them into 3 groups according to the age group.

The symptoms that Obaidat mentioned in children under 5 years old include bedwetting, sleep disturbances, clinging to parents and withdrawal from interaction, while children in the age group between 5 and 10 years may have symptoms such as irritability, aggression, nightmares, avoidance of school and poor concentration. He also referred to the symptoms that appear on children between the ages of 15 and 19, such as hyperactivity, intense emotions, problems with peers, delinquent behavior, physical complaints from muscular pain and other aches.
