The Omani authorities announced the suspension of work in all governorates of the country tomorrow, Sunday, and after tomorrow, Monday, except for the governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta, due to the exceptional climatic situation in the country.
This decision comes due to Hurricane Shaheen, which the country is exposed to, which may pose a great danger to lives and property, and the official authorities warn all citizens and residents in the country to take caution and not go to the sea. Today, Saturday, the General Authority of Oman Aviation issued a warning of the multiple dangers of Tropical Cyclone Shaheen. The Public Authority of Civil Aviation in Oman said that the cyclone is about 320 km from the Governorate of Muscat, while the nearest cumulus cloud is 190 km away, and the wind speed around the center is estimated at 64 to 75 knots (116-150 km/h), according to the newspaper "Al-Rou'ah". The authority added that the indirect effects started on the coasts of the governorates of South Al Sharqiah and Muscat, with waves rising (3-5 meters) with a flow of clouds accompanied by scattered rains of varying intensity.
