Urgent Statement from Abu Dhabi Airport

Abu Dhabi International Airport announced yesterday an increase in passenger traffic during the current holiday season by about 400%, compared to the same period in 2020, due to the increase in passenger demand for travel, the number of flights and the expansion of the airport network.

Abu Dhabi Airports expects that passenger traffic from December 22 to January 2 will reach 32,000 passengers through Abu Dhabi International Airport, and operate 102 flights per day, which is equivalent to about four times the passenger traffic and twice the number of flights, during the same period last year, which witnessed Receiving 8,400 passengers per day and 56 flights.

Many are regaining their confidence in travel, and December 2021 is expected to be one of the busiest months since the start of the pandemic.

Abu Dhabi Airport, in partnership with "Tomooh Healthcare" and "Pure Health", had launched the new instant PCR laboratory, which is available to all travelers coming to Abu Dhabi free of charge. The result can be obtained within 90 minutes of conducting the examination, through the first laboratory of its kind in an airport in the region.

Etihad Airways advises travelers to use the new facilities designated for early registration at Abu Dhabi International Airport, and guests who use this service will earn 1,000 Etihad Guest Miles.
