Bahrain: Moderate weather tomorrow, and a second cold wave on Thursday

The Meteorological Department said that a slight rise in temperatures is expected with the receding of the northwest winds

Last Friday, the Kingdom witnessed strong northwesterly winds that exceeded 40 knots in some governorates of the Kingdom, with very cold winter conditions, as a result of which the actual temperatures fell to 9 degrees Celsius in Durrat Al Bahrain.

The perceived temperatures reached zero on the King Fahd Causeway, due to the passage of a polar depression over the Arabian Peninsula, accompanied by a cold air mass that contributed to a noticeable drop in temperatures.

The Meteorological Department said that a slight rise in temperatures is expected with the receding of the northwest winds during the next few days and their transformation to changeable direction in general, southeasterly, with which surface moisture levels may rise, and chances are ripe for the formation of morning fog in some regions of the Kingdom.

The Meteorological Department indicated that through the maps of the surface winds, the northwest winds resumed on the evening of Thursday, January 27, reaching from strong to very fast at times, accompanied by another cold Siberian wave, but it is lighter than the previous wave, as the Kingdom is affected by it with the weekend, and as a result, degrees will drop. the heat.
The Meteorological Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications called upon the honorable citizens, especially sea-goers, to take precaution and caution during weather fluctuations, and advises them to follow the official bulletins and warnings issued by the Meteorological Department through the various official channels.
