Dubai Exempting business owners from licensing fees to 7 years

In implementation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, today, extended the exemption of entrepreneurs Members of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development from licensing fees stipulated in Law 23 of 2009 to 7 years instead of 5 years.

His Highness said in a tweet on his Twitter account: "In implementation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid to make Dubai a global center for innovation and entrepreneurship, we have directed to extend the exemption of citizen entrepreneurs who are members of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development from licensing fees stipulated in Law 23 For the year 2009 to 7 years instead of 5 years.

His Highness added: "The extension aims to enable the small and medium-sized companies sector to continue to grow...to complement the emirate's efforts to support the business sector in general on the diversification of the size of its activities and projects...and based on its responsibility towards a vital sector that constitutes one of the pillars of the national economy and to provide an opportunity for its companies to further development and prosperity." .
