The Emirates Smart Government announced, through its electronic portal, that the government of the United Arab Emirates has introduced a multi-entry tourist visa system for all nationalities, providing all necessary facilities for visitors and tourists, and supporting the tourism sector in the country, thus enhancing its position as one of the best tourist destinations in the world.
It also announced that the visas will be without a guarantor and multi-entry, with a validity period of five years, allowing the holder to stay in the country each time for 90 days, extendable for a similar period.
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship indicated that the UAE issues single or multiple-entry tourist visas, where the short-term tourist visa allows 30 days to stay in the country, while the long-term tourist visa allows 90 days, and the single tourist visa can be extended twice without the need to leave the country.
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship added that for foreigners to apply for a tourist visa, some of them are in return for a fee, and some are free and exempt from fees.
As for the tourist visas that the tourist will obtain in return, they are for a period of five years, with four specific requirements, which are a bank account statement for the last six Months with a balance of (4000) dollars or its equivalent in foreign currencies in the past six months, health insurance, a copy of the passport and a color photograph.
As for the free and duty-free visas, they are as follows, where the tourist is allowed to obtain a fee-free entry visa for his children under the age of 18, male and female, and the exemption period from fees applies only during the summer vacation period from July 15 to September 15 of each year.
And regarding the renewal and extension of tourist and visitor visas and entry permits, she indicated that visitors and tourists can request to extend visitor and tourist visas and entry permits of all kinds (long or short) for a period. 30 days and only twice, regardless of the basic term of the visa.
The fees for extending entry permits and tourist visas are 600 dirhams for each extension, and the renewal application must be submitted before the expiry of the previous visa's validity period.
