An important statement from Etihad Airways, starting from the 26th

Following recent directives from the UAE government, from February 26, guests arriving on Etihad Airways flights to Abu Dhabi who have been vaccinated for COVID-19 will no longer need to have a nasal swab (PCR) screened prior to their travel.

Also, travelers transiting from or departing from Abu Dhabi will not need a nasal swab test (PCR) unless their final destination requires it. Their vaccination certificates should carry a QR reader system. Unvaccinated guests traveling to Abu Dhabi must present a certified negative PCR test result within 48 hours of their travel date, or a COVID-19 recovery certificate within 30 days of their travel date, certified and carrying a QR reader system. Children under the age of 16 are exempt from the COVID-19 vaccination and nasal swab screening (PCR) either before travel, upon arrival or in transit.

As for guests traveling to Abu Dhabi as their final destination, they will continue to undergo a free PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport. They will not need further examinations after that in Abu Dhabi. Etihad Airways continues to implement the regulatory guidance issued by the UAE government, other international governments and health authorities, and to play its part in helping to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
