Beginning on June 1, Emirates will begin offering improved service to Osaka, Japan, with the introduction of the A380 aircraft.
Osaka will be the second Japanese destination to operate with the newly updated aircraft, which will include Emirates' newest product, Premium Economy. Emirates will be able to accommodate more passengers and offer improved connections to popular destinations beyond Dubai with the deployment of the A380, which will result in 910 more weekly seats between Dubai and Osaka.
The A380 aircraft replacing the Boeing 777-300ER on the EK316/EK317 service to and from Osaka’s Kansai International Airport will feature refreshed interiors across First, Business, and Economy Class cabins. The four-class A380 will include 14 First Class suites, 76 lie-flat seats in Business Class, 56 seats in Premium Economy Class, and 338 ergonomically designed seats in Economy Class.
Emirates' Premium Economy cabin, situated at the front of the main deck, will offer 56 seats in a 2-4-2 configuration, providing ample space and customized features such as in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table. Passengers in Premium Economy will enjoy curated amenities, a diverse menu, and extensive entertainment options through Emirates' "ice" in-flight entertainment system.
Emirates' commitment to delivering exceptional service extends to its onboard facilities, including access to an onboard lounge for business and first-class passengers and exclusive access to the luxurious shower spa for first-class travelers. The airline's award-winning hospitality and carefully crafted meals using premium ingredients ensure a memorable travel experience for all passengers.
The introduction of Emirates' Premium Economy product on the Dubai-Osaka route follows its successful launch on the Dubai-Narita route in December 2023. The airline's A380 operations at Kansai International Airport align with Japan's anticipated increase in tourism, driven by attractions in the Kansai region and upcoming events like the Osaka-Kansai Expo in 2025.
Emirates' extensive network in Japan includes daily services to Tokyo Narita and Tokyo Haneda airports, catering to the growing demand for air travel and providing convenient connectivity to major international travel hubs.
